Three Years After the Spanish Imperial Eagle: A Chronological Photography Exhibition
by Paco Balsells
This project spans from February 2013 to February 2016, three years of patient and respectful observation inside a hide, from which we observed our magnificent eagles glide down to calm their appetite… I have selected the best of many stills taken with the utmost respect, never interfering with their reproductive cycle. During the incubation and breeding periods (even during the months after the young left their nest) we never approached their breeding ground. Respect, if not downright veneration, was always our guiding principle.
In this blog you can enjoy 145 stills that appear in the very sequence in which they were taken. Here you will see our precious adalberti in a wide range of plumage, from the “straw” color of the fledglings (pajizas) to the striking white shouldered adults.
The purpose of this blog is to showcase the most thrilling of the Iberian birds, the Imperial Eagle. Enough said. Now, let’s the images talk.
